A real estate specialist for over 30 years, John Fasitta has experience with all types of transactions ranging from $10 million 5-bedroom apartments overlooking Central Park to alcove studios for $110,000. His most successful niche has been properties originally listed as "For Sale By Owner" in New York City and he has a successful track record helping those clients net a higher price and quicker turn-time than going it alone.
Prior to joining Mission Realty, John worked for Coldwell Banker and Douglas Elliman in New York City. Deciding to get his Brokers License in New Jersey he worked for Keller Williams Village Square Realty in Ridgewood, and Terri O'Connor Realtors in Wyckoff. He still maintains and independent office in New York City.
John was drawn to Mission Realty because of the company's commitment to community, and their special programs for all First Responders, Veterans, Active Military and Teachers. John served his country during the Vietnam War in the Air Force as a Medic, on active and reserve duty for 7 years; thus, he understands the importance of showing sincere and deep appreciation for the services these unsung heroes bring to all communities.
When he is not calling potential sellers or chatting with owners of expired listings, you can find John in his in home recording studio with his son writing songs or working on his third book. John is available 24/7 to answer questions regarding all real estate matters and to offer creative, out-of-the-box ideas for seasoned investors or first-time buyers.
John's Testimonials:
"...Sally and I thoroughly enjoyed working with you on the sale of our home. Your patience and persistence really eased any questions or reservations we had. In fact, what is typically a very stressful process ended up being an enjoyable one." --Adam Wacht
"...thank you for the professional and fabulously successful job you did in finding a buyer for our home and processing the application through the board of directors of the co-op. Please accept our heartfelt gratitude. Although the market is and has been hot, you may recall that we tried to sell our apartment in Fort Lee without a broker for several months after our neighbors successfully sold theirs without a broker. We never received an adequate offer. You were eternally optimistic and insistent that we could sell at a higher price with you and clear more than our neighbors--even after paying your commission. Although we were initially skeptical, you delivered exactly as you promised!
We were also impressed with your persistence, knowledge, and follow-through on the less glamorous board application process. Our purchaser was initially rejected by the board and through a combination of our efforts, the board, in an unprecedented move, reversed their initial rejection and the sale was subsequently consummated.
Perhaps most important, throughout the entire process, your approach, demeanor, good humor and street smarts made what is normally a stressful, competitive and contentious process a very pleasant experience...thank you again!" --Jonathan Beyer
"I've been tracking the real estate market for some time, so when it came time to sell my home, I set out to do it on my own. After marketing my home for approximately three months, I had my asking price. But before signing the contract, I was contacted by John Fasitta, who felt confident that he could get more for the apartment. He asked for 45 days to prove himself. I walked away from my buyer with some hesitation and gave John the exclusive. In less than three weeks, he found another buyer who paid 8% more than my asking price. After subtracting John's commission, I was still comfortably ahead. John delivers results!" --Al Bocmon
